What You'll Learn

This 2-day course covers the skills and knowledge required to contain incidents of damage to facilities and equipment, handle incidents related to fire, crime, medical and first-aid, bomb or improvised explosive device (IED) threats, search, apprehend and arrest a suspect and give evidence in court.

Requirements & Process

This course is suitable for any Grab partner who is seeking a career in the security industry.

 

Entry Requirements:

  1. No minimum educational entry requirements. However, candidates must meet the required workplace literacy and numeracy level and should possess the relevant assumed skills and knowledge.
  2. Candidates are advised to apply from the Singapore Police Force for a security officer licence before submitting an online application for courses at SII.

 

JOURNEY TO BE A CERTIFIED SECURITY OFFICER (SO):

 

1) Submit interest to Grab

 

2) Register for Course using GRABAC Referral Code

  • Log in to STEP online application portal (using your Singpass)
  • Insert GRABAC in your application under ‘Applicant’s referral code’

 

3) Make payment

  • Receive payment details via email from Temasek Poly 2 weeks before course commences

 

4) Complete course and submit proof in the PGSS Completion Form

 

5) Apply for Provisional Security Officer (SO) Licence (while waiting for course completions)

  • Search for the keyword “Security Officer” and choose “Security Officer’s Licence (SO)“

 

6) Complete all 3 courses, application for SO licence & start NEW job application
